i love these little tins of tuna

http://www.cloverleaf.ca/Cloverleaf/images/43330YFSLTOO85gENG251W.jpg

heat a pan, dump the contents of the can in along with some onion, garlic and sliced olives, saute for a while, add some sauce (i often just use some V8, and let it reduce to thicken a bit) and some cooked spaghetti or pasta of choice

yum

@djjd62,
yes! those and the spicy peanut ones (they make a good faux satay with skinny noodles, onions, carrots, a bitta tofu and an egg scrambled into the noodles - and some nice strips of hot pepper)

@ehBeth,
ooh, hadn't thought of that

i like the tuna in oil straight from the can in salads, because the tuna is nice and chunky, i've tried the others but didn't like the texture of the tuna, but cooked would be good

We had stuffed savoy cabbage - with couscous instead of rice and no tomatoes.
It was so good!!

@ossobuco,
It was interesting. I've never tried it before. A friend recommended it as a "heart-smart" product. It's the only bread spread used in her home for the past decade +.

The taste was quite good. I'm not sure about the mouth-feel. I'll be surprised if I buy it again.

@djjd62,
Given I buy tuna in cans, which I do, I have an eye out for tuna in olive oil and if I can spring for the cost.. Well that was nice, now I can barely find a can of solid tuna in my local store, never mind what it bathes in.

Oh, wait, I'm in albuquerque, land of the dumb of fish.

I have been making a version of a Japanese soup for the last week or two. I am digging it.

It consists of minced ginger, bonito flakes, kale, buckwheat soba noodles, red miso paste, chicken boullion and sauteed onion. I've also added sesame seeds, carrots, bok choy..... Yum!

@djjd62,
boiling water to cook up some fresh stuffed pasta - still mulling over if I want to make the 4-cheese or the gorgonzola package

love this pre-fab fresh pasta - stuffing little pastas does not thrill me - eating them does Very Happy

What sauce did you put on the stuffed shells, ehBeth?

@Kara,
just a squoze of lemon and a tiny bit of kerrygold butter

I was having a little faux caesar salad on the side - lemon as the dressing for that - so I just kept going with the lemon over the little stuffed pasta ears
