@alex240101,
I'm a mixer mixer mixer.

Drives some people crazy, makes other people happy.

One of the best, in a way, meals I ever had, was a meal I shared with my friend Baz. Thanksgiving leftovers layered in a thermal container - all the way from turkey, mashed taters, sausage stuffing, Bsprouts, corn, cranberry relish, through to pickles and salad. We took two forks, napkins - went to High Park - sat on a bench and ate our way down through the layers. There was relish in the salad, and salad dressing on the turkey. It was all good. Messy and good.

Beef stew in the crock pot at this very moment.
I'll let you know how it turns out later tonight.

Hello msolga.
Ossobuco. Simple ingredients. The fresher, the better. Filippo Berio olive oil, a bit of canola oil, white or red wine vinegar. That is the base. Garlic, onion, parsley, basil, thyme, oregeno, salt, sugar, pepper. Sometimes lemon. My taste buds are puckering already.

Hello Alex.

Thanks for this. I'm going to try it!

So you're not partial to brussels sprouts then? Wink

Tonight (inspired by all the lamb enthusiasm some posts back) I'm going to try Mulligatawny with Lamb. One of those spicy Raj (Anglo-Indian) adaptations of soup/stew, according to my recipe book. I'd intended cooking it last night but discovered that I was missing a few key ingredients, like carrots & leeks. So a quick visit to the greengrocer's this afternoon & I'll give it a go tonight.

It was surprisingly good! Not flash, mind ... but good, tasty home fare. With no added fat! (Recipe posted if there are any requests)

I came home from work just now & the house had that Indian cafe aroma, lingeringing still ...

So guess what's for dinner tonight? Yep, left-overs.

On grocery shopping day, I buy one plump piece of filet of salmon. I cook it in the microwave for about three to four minutes. Last night, I toppped it off with some honey mustard sauce. Delish!

Steamed some mussels. Thickened the broth, served over pasta. It was alright, no, actually the mussels were good, but, the sauce comcoction was terrible. Too shelly tasting.
