Slick can't be his name. It is his nickname, I guess. Meaning: cunning or deft. Do tyou agree?

Yeah that works. It would do well to remember, though, that "Slick" can be used as a sneering insult also, if it is applied to someone whose nickname is not actually Slick. Context continues to be of pre-eminent importance in answering such questions.
