Welcome to A2K.

In the United States the term "undergraduate" includes Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. They have not yet graduated to the dignity of a BA or an AB or a BS in a four year program.

Community college students receive an AA (Associate of Arts) after two years of study. Many then transfer to a four-year college.

Post graduate work includes completing the work for an MA (Master of Arts) and then a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy).

Both the MA and the Ph.D. are graduate degrees.
