Lobster, popcorn, artichoke hearts, pasta, doesn't matter. What matters is the butter.

mmmmmmm,

What's your favorite buttery food?

Fresh wholemeal bread, with butter, alone.

Or hot, buttery, toast.

Or vita weets, with butter and vegemite, with the butter so thick you squeeze it through the holes.

Or boiled potatoes, with lots of butter, salt and fresh ground black pepper.

Only, I only eat any of them once in a blue moon.

I"m wondering why you used quotation marks in your title.

And, regarding butter, I sometimes eat the stick plain.

The succulent fatty tissues of small children. It's tough to catch the little buggers, what with the way most parents watch them, but if you can get lucky and bag one, it's a taste sensation that you won't soon forget.

My favorite is fried baby feet, sprinkled with garlic, and dipped in drawn butter.

Delicious!

"cuz I"m an i"jot, gus.

I don't eat the stick plain, but I sometimes keep the melted butter in the cup and dip the popcorn into it, one at a time.

Actually, J_B, I love butter and probably eat way too much. I'll make a bagel or an english muffin and I have to have the knife and butter ready the instant the item comes out of the toaster so I can slab on a quarter stick of butter and get optimum melting results.

And then comes the peanut butter.

Baked potatoes with gobs of butter... Ho'made biscuits with gobs of butter...

I can feel my arteries grinding to a sweet buttery halt.

The point of life is quality over quantity, no ?

yup, yup, yup, I'm hearing you, gus.

Deb, there's nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread and nothing like the taste of it slathered in butter.

I used to make a dish called muck after long high school days. I'd melt a s tick of butter in a pan, add a ton of brown sugar, rolled oats, a pinch of salt. Sometimes I'd add peanutbutter and powdered sugar. That stuff was seriously good. I'd just eat the warm mess of goo with a spoon out of the pan.

I love butter, but some lemony mayo with a little hot sauce is much better on artichokes.

Hmm, for butter tasting stuff... bearnaise sauce, though the flavor of tarragon dominates at first, the egg yolks soaking up the huge quantities of butter is what makes it great.

I can't believe Slappy didn't work the butter into some sort of sexual activity.

Our boy must be losing his touch.
