What do the idioms "del que curza" and "del que fina" translate to in English? They are used in the context of a month of the year, i.e., "Nacio el diez del que fina."
That's not "Mexican", but old style Spanish.
"el que cursa" refers the current one
"el que fina" refers the one "belating", "dying", "finishing": it is also the current month.
So, if I was to write tody in old Spanish, someone born on March 10th 2006 would have been born on the "10th of the dying one", since March is about to finish.
Weird!
