I just watched a bit of news on CNN on the ticker tape thingy. Sorry that I cannot remember who made this startling discovery, but the quick moving tape at the bottom of the screen got past before I could completely get all the details.
Evidently the researcher (whoever) had proclaimed that Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton suffered from a type autism known as Asperger's syndrome. Here's the link to Asperger's syndrome:

How do people come to these conclusions?

I would say Isaac possibly, Albert probably not.
From what I understand, they can't tell for sure. I mean, it would be hard to diagnose someone who is dead.
However if they did find out one way or another, perhaps folk with the same kind of autism wouldn't be dismissed just as easily as they are now a days.
It is fasinating to know one way or the other the possablities. They say Autistics are geniuses in their own right. Perhaps this leads credence to the assumption.
aquiunk and Gen, What a revelation. I do wonder if John Forbes Nash might have been subject to such a thing. It would seem then, that geniuses are born and not made, and it would explain their rather anti-social behavior.
Gen, for once I don't get your Pokemon unicorn in the avatar, but I do get the little fluttery unicorn in the signature. CdV has a lot to answer for.
