Obama '08?

Haters...

I don't know why people have their underpants in a twist over Obama going overseas. It seems like to me that for all the criticism that he has received, this is exactly what he should be encouraged to do.

Perhaps after 7+ years of a President ignoring the voice of the people, we just aren't used to the idea of it.

I think it's the right thing for him to do. If you believe that Obama's stance on Iraq is foolish, then let him see for himself and return with new perspective.

Either way, I'm fairly positive that all the republicans calling themselves conservatives while railing on the republicans for not being conservative in these threads will find something wrong with Obama's trip.

okie, You know how to criticize Obama, but lack the criticisms against Bush and McCain who are not only incompetent, but McCain is senile, and doesn't even know the countries of the Middle East. That's a scary issue if McCain should win the white house; a dummy running foreign policy.

Disagree with Bill, and there is a very real risk of being called a bigot, thats for sure. I would say immature and irrelevant is a fair charge.

Pretty good indication at least that other valid arguments are hard to come by, so it is easier to throw out the bigotry charge.

The triggers are usually opposition to Obama, opposition to illegal immigration, or opposition to Muslim terrorism. I'm only somewhat exaggerating here.

I have criticized all three, as well as complimented all three in certain areas.

Politics includes alot of criticism. I suppose you aren't guilty?

I've criticized all three branches of our goverment, and the two presumptive presidential candidates. What else is there?

Hey H2O, I've been to several A2K gatherings; 2X - San Francisco, 2X -London, 2X - Austin, 2X - Chicago, 1X - Lippstadt, Germany, and 1X - Hawaii. The people I've met at those gatherings will tell you that a) I have my share of yuks, and b) even tell jokes about myself.

As a matter of fact, I'll be planning our 3rd San Francisco Gathering for the Summer of 2009, and you can come and see for yourself.

Really? Triggers are irrational fears of Obama or derogatory references to his race, supposed illegal immigration arguments that are really so many bogus assertions about the bad brown man, and I challenge you to demonstrate where I accused someone of bigotry for opposing Muslim terrorism.
