Where have you been the past six months or so? Millions of families are losing their jobs and homes. Many can't afford the escalating cost of fuel and food, and you think the "American people have forgotten what suffering and great losses are?"

You are a) unable to keep up with current news, and/or b) you have no idea what it means to be a parent today with young children - and to lose your job and home. Ignorance must be a blessing.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton [..] told the Telegraph: [..] "He's saying he's not going to reach out, that Obama has to come to him. One person told me that Bill said Obama would have to quote kiss my ass close quote, if he wants his support. "You can't talk like that about Obama - he's the nominee of your party, not some house boy you can order around. "Hillary's just getting on with it and so should Bill."
Damn right.

I think Obama should just let Bill stew... he doesnt need him.

Mind you, it is an anonymous quote, and it is the Daily Telegraph (not a tabloid, but it is vociferously partisan, on the populist conservative side of any issue)...

Then again, Clinton's already denied the story, but in a way that defies credibility:

Quote:
Bill Clinton denied the accusations, saying he never uses such "dirty" language, that he appreciates and supports Obama.

RRRiiigghhtt.... because none of us have heard of his notorious verbal outbursts Laughing

Yes Bill Clinton is known to speak without thinking it through from time to time. But Obama is correct in this case by not 'responding to unfounded rumors'. I object to unfounded words being put in the mouths of people I support, and feel honor bound to state that unless a You Tube clip of Clinton uttering the phrase surfaces, Clinton should not be accused out of hand. Is there underlying resentment by both he and Hillary in the way they were characterized during the campaign? They would not be human if there was not. I don't believe for a minute that Obama hasn't said some things privately that he would not wish to be made public too; and that he could likely be mischaracterized should somebody publicly repeat those private conversations.

I prefer to stick with what we know and what we can verify before we choose to accuse even a Bill Clinton unfairly.

I hear you, teenyboone. Our countries going down in a hand basket of stupid politicians and Americans who continue to vote in the same "experienced" law-makers. If there used to be a two party system in this country, that disappeared some years ago. What is more amazing is the simple fact that the very people who voted in our representatives and president are the very people giving them the very low performance rating.

And we're about to do it all over again in November. Go figure.

Before I answer the "empty-head", below me, I received a "heads up" email on an Obama Fact, that he, like other Democrats, VOTED WITH the ReUglicans, on issues that people like You and Me, are against! You KNOW that unknowing voters, vote against their BEST interests, when they vote Republican, but do Democrats, do the same? Case in point; Obama voted FOR FISA! Last week! Are we FOR someone listneinng IN on our phone calls?
Reading our emails, opening US mail? Where are we; Russia? Nope! We're in the good 'o, US of A! Now you rightwingers OUT there, listen up! This doesn't mean I agree on ANYTHING with YOU; just means that there's a grain of sale to SOME of what you say. The CAREER politicians, HAVE it! I don't care WHAT they say! You can't convince me, that I have a SINGLE friend, in Washington! You below, GET A LIFE! Cool

Not having experience is a good thing; look at Bush and the current congress; all with "experience." They've screwed up this country without even trying. Millions of Americans are losing their jobs and homes while food and fuel costs escalate beyond affordability for most middle class families.

Who wants that kind of experience?

CI:
I hate to be a killjoy, but I've been watching the Democrats, vote with the Repugs! The more I watch them, the more disgusted I get! They talk the talk, but they are a bunch of COWARDS, when it comes to showing the Repugs who owns Congress, now! They're as much to blame for the demise of this nation as the Republicans they love to blame, then they have that, "WHO US"? look, on their faces!

My only hope as a woman, Black and Catholic, s to get the hell out of this country while I can, before THEY start rounding us up! We're in a police state, as it is! Cool

Have a nice trip!!!

State of the race, as of today's polling.

(Dark Blue (179): Obama +9.5% or more
Lean Blue (114): Obama +3.5%-+9.4%
White / Toss-up (77): Obama +3.4% to McCain +3.4%
Lean Red (84): McCain +3.5%-+9.4%
Dark Red (84): McCain +9.5% or more)

...

Not too bad. Obama is farther ahead at this point then Kerry or Bush were EVER ahead of one another during the last election, and I'm pretty sure that he's farther ahead then any lead in the Bush-Gore 2000 election too.

Long way to go, but it doesn't suck to be in the lead...

A Clinton backer issues a call to arms.

"When asked an open-ended question about the first words that come to mind about Obama, some former Clinton supporters used words like Muslim or terrorist," AP reports. And yet, "An analysis of Clinton supporters who are backing McCain shows they are more liberal than the Arizona senator on the issues. The majority favor removing troops from Iraq as soon as possible, a single-payer health care system funded by taxpayers and repeal of Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy."

I'm growing more intolerant, as Maya's mama wisely advised, by the minute.

Certainly, those of us who believed in Senator Clinton's vision and her campaign are entitled to time to grieve. But our grief cannot trump our beliefs and it must not blind us to the very real consequences of a President McCain.

It's time to call an end to our mourning. Senator Clinton's supporters are too smart (today's poll notwithstanding) too passionate, and have come too far to turn our country off-course now.

She can go "YOU KNOW WHERE"!

Poor Bill isn't on very good terms concerning his honesty; from extra-curriculars and lying to congress, his wife and daughter.

How many of us still trust Bill to tell the truth? Raise your hands.
