The word "messianic" has definitions that transcend the religous.

The word that was used was "Messianic", which when used refers to the religious definitions.

Please. I capitalize words Whenever I feel like it. It doesn't significantly change the meaning.

Isn't this a little nit-picky, really?

It does change the meaning when referring to people's religious beliefs.

Would a Christian ever purposefully refer to God as god, when talking about God.

I've even been scolded for using the lowercase 'god' when referring to God in the religious forum.

To claim that there isn't a difference is to try to ignore the facts.

To make such a big deal over one word that someone dropped in the middle of a bait session has connotations too.

Shall I stock fishing poles in my bait shop too?

Not being Christian or Religious in the slightest, and liking to capitalize things whenever I please, I could care less about other people's opinions of how words should be spelled or punctuated as to add greater meaning to them. It's truly silly.

Instead of talking about this, I'll mention something else to change the subject: given that a brokered convention seems likely, taking care not to antagonize the group of Edwards voters would probably do either candidate a lot of good. Hillary should probably think twice about the robocalls against him...

I see the word itself as being the big deal....not my comments on it.

I didn't say that it wasn't silly. I just said that the facts are the facts no matter what your personal feelings about them are.

Roxxxane using the capitalized form of the word is likely referring to the religious definations of that word, since proper grammer prevents people from simply capitalizing whatever word they like.

And for someone who likes "to capitalize things whenever I [you] please" you don't seem to do it very often unless you're trying to make a specific point about the word you are capitalizing (your recent attempts at forced capitalization do not count). I'm sure Roxxxane was trying to make a specific point about her use of capitalization also.

Hillary is fighting hard to get Florida and Michigan back into play. Heard CNN was reporting that she was planning on being in Florida on their election day so she can make claim to a win, even though it won't count unless she gets the national DNC to reverse their orders.

If it's a 3 way contest going into convention day, there is now way that the DNC will not allow FL and MI's delegates to count.

Do you really think that they should? That would pretty much give these states to the Republicans during the general election.

Roxxanne already explained that's not what she had in mind when she said it. The Hill-camp's desire to turn the obvious positive (tremendous charisma) into a negative led them to take advantage in silly fashion. While Thomas's cultural background may well excuse his absurd reference to Hitler; Americans following suit are off the intellectual reservation. Fascinating that people will allow their predispositions to supersede common sense sufficiently to rationalize: Great Speaker = Hitler-Danger. Rolling Eyes

Reversing that decision now would be the most blatant election manipulation I've seen. Obama wasn't even on the ballot in MI. I see no chance of that happening.

I think there was a little bit more to the association than that, but dont let that get in the way of scoring a point...

WTF difference would that make? Is Roxanne your inspiration? If she said she dropped to her knees 7 times a day and faced whichever direction he was campaigning in; would that make you more afraid? You are talking about one anonymous poster on a message board, for the love of Obama.

Pretty obvious how the two-headed Clinton monster in both of their concession speeches referred to Florida.

Me either. This is all so borderline Magical Negro-ish that's it's ridiculous. Now you can't simply have a black man who transcends on his merits, his accomplishments, his experience. Oh no. He's got to be Messianic. Supernatural.

You guys really are sad.

Explain what borderline magical negroish means. As an African American, I take offense to your bigoted description, of us Question What?
Is that a little like "entitled whites", who think they have the right to look down thier bigoted, racist, noses, at people, they consider their lessers?
Your slip, is showing! Evil or Very Mad
