@Cycloptichorn,
I found that the stars aligned back in mid-January when a bunch of polls came out within days of each other.
Approve - Disapprove:
NBC/WSJ: +12
CBS/NY Times: +10
CNN/Op Res: +8
Fox: +3
Gallup: -4
Rasmussen: -7

Average: +3.7

NPR reports: The House voted 228-192 to "...bar any federal funding to NPR."

I guess that proves you called POM a lesbian then okie. Since we only need to look at who you associate it and agree with as proof, correct?

Amusingly, the vote to cut federal funding to NPR ($22Mn) does not actually cut federal funding to NPR. Go figure what the fuss is about.

@okie,
Quote:
We had the best health care system in the world, and most people think we should have made the necessary reforms to improve it

There are two things wrong with this part of your sentence: The first is that we did not have the best health care system in the world but rather the most powerful insurance lobby; The second is that you have no idea what 'most' people think at all. Furthermore, if the system was that good, what improvements would it have needed? Including the masses who remained uninsured and therefore without access to medical care?

Quote:
rather than scrapping the whole thing for a very convoluted and confused legislation that will be causing more problems than it was intended to fix.

There are also two things wrong with the remainder of your sentence: The first is that 'the whole thing' was not scrapped but rather that Obama caved in completely to the insurance lobby; the second thing is your verb.

@plainoldme,
okie again makes himself look the fool that he is; the US health care system ranks 37th in the world (last surveyed in 2000). His usual opinions that are baseless as he wrote,

@cicerone imposter,
I read your post. Do you remember those exercise devices back in the 80s, sort of large wheels that allowed people to hang upside down for some reason or other? To use them, you tied yourself into special boots that were part of the framework of the device. I took a public speaking class then and a member of my class brought his device in and gave a speech on it while hanging upside down. I think okie has tied himself into some boots that prevent him from moving.

There are so many times when I go to this forum at the end of the day and comment on an okie post only to see that you or parados or cyclo or revellette has made the same remark or provided the same evidence. okie is in complete denial.

Thank you, Obama. You rock.

Yeah, thanks to Obama, only 22% of the voters believe the U.S. is heading in the right direction.

"Just 22% believe the U.S. is heading in the right direction. That's down five points from a week ago and the lowest total since President Obama took office. "

And Rasumussen has Obama's strongly approve / strongly disapprove index down to Minus 20, near his alltime low.

You are correct sir!
It really is not that hard to figure out, is it H2OMAN? It can be summed up by the old saying "Birds of a feather flock together." There were reasons why Obama found guys like Ayers and the Reverend Wright to be good friends, mentors, etc.

The fact that Obama hides his true agenda is criminal.

All the polls except Rasmussen show Obama's approval higher than disapproval, kinda makes one question ol' Scott's endlessly self-vaunted expertise.

Stupid, and about as accurate as most of his fantasy factoids, which is to say not very.

Rasmussen's daily polls are automated and made to landlines only, which skew toward older and more Republican demographics--guess that makes them the "mooching class", eh, H2? Rasmussen seriously underrepresents the growing number of people who have cellphone service only, who tend toward younger and less Republican. The more the phone business changes, the more out-of-touch Rasmussen gets. The other polls pretty much have figured out ways to poll cellphone users. Not Scott.
