The best answer I can give is that I am aware that some believe the beginning of collecting income tax including the 16th Amendment were unconstitutional, but frankly I do not know all the legal arguments.

Pretty simple solution to that. Just ask Ican.

@parados,
I noticed you conveniently ignored my follow up point that I believe government has greatly overstepped its bounds in terms of what the constitution mandates it to do, which I do not think any sane person could disagree with.

That's only true if it also defines what "sane" means.

Interesting, today Rasmussen has Obama's plus minus approval disapproval index at Minus 22, which matches his all time low, and could be headed even lower.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22 (see trends).
This matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for this president."

@okie,
okie, You need to change your one-horse buggy; it's now worthless for any real analysis or fact. 1. Polls are never 100% accurate. 2. You continue to use one of the worst polls available in this world on US politics.

I see that this thread is still being cluttered up with brain vomit by the two amazing human turds, Ican and okie.

It would be nice to come onto this thread one day and find that neither of the turd brothers have posted anything for a while. Then maybe there would be a chance for people to actually learn something here.

@parados,
No, parados! I do not think taxation is illegal.

What I consider illegal is the taking of private property from those persons and from those organizations who have lawfully earned it, and the giving of it to those persons and organizations who have not lawfully earned it.

In other words, I think it illegal for the federal government to give away money and/or other property it legally collected.

I consider that illegal, because the federal government has not been granted the power by the Constitution of the USA as amended to give away money and/or other property to those who have not earned it.

I am sorry, but I feel that Obama's approval rates are good considering the drumbeat of lies and distortions by the right.

Obama Scores Above 50 Percent Approval on Only 1 of 13 Issues

Bruce Drake
Contributing Editor

President Obama scores above 50 percent approval on only one of 13 issues that Gallup has surveyed in polls conducted July 27-Aug. 1 and Aug. 5-8.

The only issue on which Obama has majority approval is race relations, where 52 percent give his handling of it positive marks while 38 percent disapprove.

Obama is in positive territory on three other issues where a plurality approve of his performance: education (49 percent approve to 40 percent disapprove); terrorism, (48 percent approve, 45 percent disapprove); and, energy policy (47 percent approve, 42 percent disapprove).

But it's downhill from there starting with his overall handling of foreign policy where 48 percent disapprove and 44 percent approve.

The five issues where he does the worst:

- Immigration: 62 percent disapprove, 29 percent approve.
- The federal budget deficit: 64 percent disapprove, 31 percent approve.
- Afghanistan: 57 percent disapprove, 36 percent approve.
- The economy: 59 percent approve, 38 percent disapprove.
- Healthcare policy: 57 percent disapprove, 40 percent approve.

It's worth noting that, for the most part, the issues on which the public disapproves of Obama's performance are the ones most polls say it regards as the most important. The ratings also reflect a turnaround on the public's view of Obama's handling of Afghanistan, which was a positive for him earlier in his presidency.

Fellow American,

It's time to kick the liberals out of Washington and get America back on track.

My name is Ilario Pantano, and I'm a constitutional conservative, combat veteran of 2 wars, and small businessman. I'm running for Congress because I will not sit idly by while the far left destroys the country I was willing to die for.

When you hear my name, you probably have no idea who I am, but my story may be a familiar one. Like so many other patriotic Americans, on September 12, 2001, I went to reenlist with the U.S. Marine Corps, graduated from Officer Candidate School and deployed to Iraq for my second tour of duty.

You remember the chaos and violence of the Iraq war in 2004 when American bodies were strung up from a bridge in Fallujah. Well, I was leading a combat operation in the area when I had to kill two terrorists that tried to attack me. I was praised by my commanders who never second guessed my actions. I continued to lead my platoon and never lost a man. But three months later I learned that a man in my platoon whom I had demoted falsely reported the incident. I was accused of premeditated murder and faced a death sentence if found guilty.

After a thorough investigation the truth prevailed and I was cleared of all charges. The truth has not mattered to many on the left though. Liberal blogs have continually attacked my constitutional conservative campaign and me. The Daily Kos has even called me a "Jack Bauer Republican."

I left the Marine Corps soon after returning home because of death threats my family received from jihadists because of my service. But I am far from finished serving my country, and that's why I'm asking for your support today. The Congressional seat I'm challenging is held by a 7-term incumbent who votes with Nancy Pelosi 90% of the time. Back in January, it was considered "Safe Democratic" but now this seat is competitive.

The greatest threat to your freedom and your family is coming from the Oval
Office, and as Grassfire researchers have recently discovered the next two
years of President Obama's reign will be unlike anything we've ever seen...

...

+ + 21 Ways Obama is Re-Shaping America Into His Image

A liberal socialist who was discipled in Marxist liberation theology, it is
clear what Obama meant when he said to the American people "This is what
change looks like."

>From the onset of his presidency, Obama has aggressively
set out to re-shape America into his own socialist image!

>From ObamaCare to the rapid expansion of the federal
government in both size and scope to takeovers of business, banking, increased
control over the economy, increases in taxes in pursuit of class-envy based
wealth redistribution and bailouts as the fix for our economic woes...

So convinced are we of the gravity of Obama's
radical agenda we've had Grassfire researchers
carefully examining his stated goals, his words,
his history (what we know of it) and his record
as a Senator and President compiling them into
"Obama Exposed - 21 Ways Obama is Radically
Re-Shaping America in His Own Image".

Inside, we literally expose Obama's statist plan
to silence conservatives -- the greatest threat
to his presidency, to liberal court activism,
planned amnesty for 13 million illegal aliens,
diminishing the U.S. military, weakening gun
rights, to ushering in a rise in liberal theology,
and much more...

...all compiled into an easy-to-read and understand
64-page resource that gives patriots unbridled
insight into the threats that await, and what we
can do to restore our nation to greatness.

@ican711nm,
If you consider taxation and subsidization a violation of the Constitution and therefore grounds for impeachment, why didn't you call for the impeachment of Bush when this happened during his presidency? Didn't pay attention for a moment there, did ya? Got so excited about defending the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq that you didn't notice that that was a violation of the Constitution, too, eh? High crimes and misdemeanors, grounds for impeachment, right? But since Afghanistan was only invaded in late 2001, that only left you a little bit more than seven years to realize that the guy you were cheering on all the time was violating the Constitution, am I right? Can't be expected to notice that whole violating the Constitution by waging an undeclared war and by redistributing money thing in such a short time, eh? Too busy with all the stuff going on to call for impeachment, weren't you? Good thing you're paying attention now, right? Wouldn't want to miss the opportunity of at least calling for the impeachment of this president, eh?

So... you have no issue with taxation then? Is that correct? You just have an issue with how it is spent?
