That might be true, because there may not be enough adults left in this country that understand the constitution.

On the contrary, it is adults that understand the Constitution that realize he will not only not be impeached, but that he IS following the Constitution, and that it has worked, that all indicators show the economy is back on track and growing, and that that is largely due to Obama's policies.

Wasn't there, george, that's one reason I'm alive to read and understand the Constitution, and to look at the economic indicators, and agree with Business Week that Obamanomics has worked.

Obama's ratings continue to languish, and I think could see more new lows in the not too distant future.

"Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove. "

President Obama and the rest of the Obama democrats by continued application and expansion of TARP and the Stimulus Bill is transferring private property from those persons and organizations who lawfully earned it to those persons and organizations who have not lawfully earned it.

Neither in Article I Section 8, or in Amendment V, has the President, the Congress, or the Judiciary been granted the power to make such transfers of private property. Any branch of the federal government that makes such transfers of private property violates both the "supreme law of the land," and their "oath or affirmation to support this Constitution" that is required of all of its members according to Article VI. Because making such property transfers is exercising "powers not delegated to the United States," then according to Amendment X, the exercise of such powers violates the Constitution.

As opposed to the one which produced you, a gentleman incapable of understanding nuanced arguments or the requirements for properly understanding historical events? Laughing

@Cycloptichorn,
I'm glad you are still capable of laughing, cyclops. In regard to your opinion about my opinion, be aware it is only your opinion, and being an opinion from someone living and breathing the liberal arrogance that inhabits your brain, I think you are 180 degrees out of phase. You do not live in reality, you live in an altered state of liberal fantasy.

If your belief that the worth of a worm or rat is compared to a human being - is nothing more than a "nuanced argument," then I don't think it would be a huge leap for you to have labeled the same term "nuanced" to the argument in 1930's Germany that Jews should be exterminated by the millions. I think you are a very sad commentary or demonstration of the pathetic result of liberal nuanced thinking, cyclops. You appear to have no principles of any import at all, except what supports some liberal fantasy world that you live in. Sorry to be blunt, but that is the absolute truth of my impression about your opinions here.

I am trying to wake you up to the fact that there are eternal principles worth living for, that are higher than some liberal fantasy.

(HERMAN) CAIN Alert! Friday June 18, 2010

Hello Intelligent Thinkers,
Soon, the House is expected to vote on a controversial bill that would ban certain government contractors, corporations, and nonprofit organizations from engaging in any political speech.

This "Disclose Act" (HR5175) aims to deter the criticism of incumbents, ban independent political advocacy by corporations, nonprofits and associations, and impose burdensome disclosure requirements. Of course UNIONS would be exempt from most of the provisions of the bill since unions support Democrats almost exclusively. Read more here...

Please call your US House Member now and urge them to VOTE NO to the "Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act". It is just another way for government to deny Americans their freedom of speech.

You don't understand my original argument at all, and when I tried to explain it to you, you weren't interested in understanding; so it is no surprise that you would trot out extremely foolish statements like the one above.

It is rather pathetic though, the way you reflexively reach for Nazi Germany as your crutch in these arguments. It is a sign of weakness on your part, Okie, an appeal to absurdity.

Have you? From a high of 10.6% in Jan, it's down to 9.3% in May. There are a variety of reasons for this, but it certainly hasn't been getting worse.

@Cycloptichorn,
And even the govt admits that many of those jobs are temp jobs, that will end when the census ends.
Then those people will be looking for work again.

And the private sector only created 41,000 jobs last month.
That isnt many.

When the unemployment rate drops to or below 8%, then I will say that Obama's plan is working.

When is "not a tax" actually a tax?

When the Obama admin is defending itself in court.

http://spectator.org/blog/2010/06/17/obama-admin-argues-in-court-th

Quote:
In order to protect the new national health care law from legal challenges, the Obama administration has been forced to argue that the individual mandate represents a tax -- even though Obama himself argued the exact opposite while campaigning to pass the legislation.

Late last night, the Obama Department of Justice filed a motion to dismiss the Florida-based lawsuit against the health care law, arguing that the court lacks jurisdiction and that the State of Florida and fellow plaintiffs haven't presented a claim for which the court can grant relief. To bolster its case, the DOJ cited the Anti-Injunction Act, which restricts courts from interfering with the government's ability to collect taxes.

The Act, according to a DOJ memo supporting the motion to dismiss, says that "no suit for the purpose of restraining the assessment or collection of any tax shall be maintained in any court by any person, whether or not such person is the person against whom such tax was assessed." The memo goes on to say that it makes no difference whether the disputed payment it is called a "tax" or "penalty," because either way, it's "assessed and collected in the same manner" by the Internal Revenue Service.

So, is it a tax or not?
The admin is saying both, according to the article.

Unemployment rate can be reduced when the number of people looking for work is reduced. The number of people looking for work can be reduced either by increased empl;oyment or by people deciding to not look for work.

Total civil employment is a far more reliable indicator of the health of the economy.
