@spendius,
spendius is correct. We don't need public input. The only input that counts is the input on November 3, 2010 when many of the left wing followers of President Obama will be set out to pasture. Then, it will really take a long long time for President Obama to move anything out of DC. At least the Chicago gang will welcome President Obama back home in 2012.

His previous incarnation disappeared suspiciously after he claimed Dylan Thomas and Yeats were American poets and I schooled his ass on modern poetry. Good times.

Government Waiting Rooms, Senate Emergency Call & Much More

Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,

Are you sick of our elected officials in Congress ignoring us when they know good and well that We the People do not want government growth and debt to continue to spiral out of control? Are you ready to change our actions to see if we can get the elected officials attention? Thomas Jefferson said eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Are you willing to be vigilant to protect our liberty?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we need you!! Keep on reading because we have a lot of action items that require the participation of patriots.

We are asking for donations again to help pull these activities off. We are looking into purchasing hospital gowns or paper gowns to help with the activities. More details on donations are below.

If you are in the southeast and within a reasonable drive of New Orleans, we need you to join Tea Party Patriots groups in New Orleans for the Streetcar Named Desire Christmas Protest on December 12 while Sen. Landrieu hosts a Fund Raiser for Senator Reid.

As you know Tea Party Patriots is a grassroots, bottom up organization. Many, many of you have asked us to ask our other members to pray for our nation and for our elected officials in Washington, DC. The National Coordinators and the Local Coordinators have listened to your suggestions and are asking members to take a Moment of Silence at noon eastern time on Monday, December 14.

We need you in DC on December 15th. We need you! We know that is 10 days before Christmas. We want to be with our families, shopping, and enjoying the holidays as much as you do. Even more we want to make sure that the government cannot control our health care. There are 2 separate events that are happening in DC on December 15: Government Waiting Rooms and Senate Emergency Call. The events are being hosted by several groups including Tea Party Patriots, Freedom Works, Patients First - a project of Americans for Prosperity, Let Freedom Ring, National Taxpayers Union, and others. Additionally, if you cannot be in DC, we could use your help locally in the states of the 13 targeted Senators.

December 16, is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The South Florida Tea Party Patriots groups are having Boston Tea Party Anniversary Candlelight Vigils and have asked the nation to join them for candlelight vigils on December 16.

Keep reading for further details on each of these actions below. Watch our website daily for updates. We plan to post checklists early in the week to help you if you are planning events locally.

It is important that you check the site daily this week because we are loading new contacts into our email system. Each time this happens, our emails are staged and take longer to deliver. That means we may not be able to communicate quickly with you this week. But we must load the new contacts so we can get this same information to them. Thank you for helping stay in contact with us through our site this week!!

Donations
Contrary to mainstream media reports, Tea Party Patriots is a grassroots organization and we have succeeded with your generous support over the course of this year. We have done our best not to nickle and dime you, not to ask for donations unless we truly need them. We need donations again and ask you to reach deep to make the donations.

As you can see we have a lot of actions planned for the next few weeks. We are doing all we can to leave no stone unturned when it comes to government takeover of our health care and cap and trade. Your donations will help us defeat these bills, help us organize our upcoming national events, and will help us maintain our operating expenses for the web servers, email, and other administrative items.

We know it is a few weeks before the end of the year. Christmas and Hanukkah are both right around the corner. You have other things to spend money on and we understand that. And because of this, we truly appreciate your contributions more than you know.

Donate today so that we can put the following events into action and make them happen.

December 12: Streetcar Named Desire Christmas Protest in New Orleans
Numerous Tea Parties from around Louisiana will be gathering in New Orleans on Saturday, December 12th, 2009. If you are within a reasonable driving distance of New Orleans, we are asking you to join Tea Party Patriots in New Orleans

The purpose is to give Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) a real Louisiana welcome to their elite fundraiser on exclusive St. Charles Avenue.

We want Senator Reid to know how much we appreciate him using $300 million of our money to buy Senator Landrieu's recent vote on the health care bill, and we want Senator Landrieu to know how much we appreciate her voting against the overwhelming majority of her constituents.

As this is the Holiday season, we will be singing appropriately re-worded Christmas Carols for their enjoyment.

The gathering will start at 10:00am on the neutral ground (median to non-cajuns) at Toledano and Pleasant Streets. Those streets are between St. Charles Avenue and Prytania Street, in the "Uptown" section of New Orleans.

We will meet there, in the large median and then progress down to the fundraiser for some caroling and speeches. Everyone is encouraged to bring holiday-themed signs and banners.

Parking in uptown New Orleans is very scarce, and we do not want to inconvenience the neighbors. Therefore, we ask that participants please park away from the event and take the streetcar. It's a wonderful ride!

More information about parking and other concerns will be forth-coming in the next day or so. Interested parties contact:

December 14: Moment of Silence & Government Waiting Rooms Prep
As you know Tea Party Patriots is a grassroots, bottom up organization. Many, many of you have asked of us to ask our members to pray for our nation and for our elected officials in Washington, DC. The National Coordinators and the Local Coordinators have listened to your suggestions and are asking members to take a Moment of Silence at noon eastern time on Monday, December 14.

Use this time to pray for our country and that our elected officials have the courage to represent us, We the People. Use the time to contemplate the sacrifices that have been made for our Constitution and liberty and to contemplate what eternal vigilance means. Consider what it is worth to you to insure that future generations enjoy the same liberties we enjoy today.

If you can be in DC on the afternoon of December 14, we need your help in prepping for the Government Waiting Rooms. Use this form to RSVP. We will be in touch with you shortly for when and where we will meet.
December 15: Government Waiting Rooms and Senate Emergency Call

For Government Waiting Rooms, we need those who can be in DC early on December 15th to meet us. We need at least 1,000 people early that morning and we are hoping for more to help make this successful. We are still working on the details for the exact meet up location before we begin visiting our Senators' offices. The meet up time will be at or about 8:00 am. If you are available to meet in the DC in the afternoon of December 14, we need your help to prepare for the Waiting Rooms.

So many of you are outraged that our demonstrations since February are largely being ignored and have asked how we can get the attention of the elected officials other than a straight up demonstration. Government Waiting Rooms will be the answer to this question. Government Waiting Rooms will highlight the impact of rationing and long, long waiting lists that will occur when and if government takes over our health care. The idea the result of brainstorming with over 200 local coordinators and Tea Party Patriots members from around the country.

For those who cannot be in DC there until later in the morning, we will ask that you participate in Senate Emergency Call, which will be a demonstration at 1:00 in Upper Senate Park before going to visit the Senators' offices. It will have a few speakers but the program, which is being coordinated by Patients First - a project of Americans for Prosperity, will remain short so there is more time for office visits.

It is our understanding 1 organization already has 100 buses lined up to take people to DC on the 15th. If you can arrange a bus or are already arranging one, please be sure to list it on our website (in addition to other sites you may have it listed) to get as much exposure as possible for the event. There are also buses listed at High Noon for Healthcare.

For those who cannot be in DC on December 15, we are asking that you organize a Government Waiting Room or Senate Emergency Call locally. We especially need these locally in the states of the targeted Senators.
December 16: Boston Tea Party Anniversary Candlelight Vigils
December 16, is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The South Florida Tea Party Patriots groups are having Boston Tea Party Anniversary Candlelight Vigils and have asked the nation to join them for candlelight vigils on December 16.

On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonial patriots boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. We want to remember them and all the brave patriots who fought for freedom. Please join us for a candlelight vigil - the light of freedom shall not be extinguished!

If a candlelight vigil is not listed on our site for your local area, please plan one and list it. On Monday, the National Coordinators will be creating a packet for how to host a Candlelight Vigil and will post it on our website.
Beyond December 16.

Keep watching your inbox for Passion To Action Alerts as Tea Party Patriots gets more information about the Senate Health Care Bill and we work on additional plans.

Okie, regardless of what Obama is trying to do, he is increasing the number of people who are becoming like him by having an unfulfilled and sort of unhappy and dysfunctional childhood. That outcome is the natural result of engaging in the politics of envy--the politics of despising those who have more and preventing them from continuing to get and have more.

I say:
You're both wrong and you know it. If his childhood was dysfunctional, learning new languages and exposed to other cultures, what's both of your excuses for being blatently jealous! He won on Nov. 4th, 2008! He beat the hell out of McSame and "I can see Russia from my house" Palin, a real dunce!

Do us all a favor and study the history of the United States and stop twisting words to fit your socialist agenda, to take from the taxpayers and give to the already wealthy! One more thing, READ the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. You MIGHT learn something.

Actually, I confess to wasting way too much time on this forum. But when I walk away from it, I have alot more to life, I have no desire to lord it over the masses, I would rather mind my own business and let others mind theres. But I resent the government trying to take our freedom and liberty away, so I see this forum as one avenue of letting off steam and expressing my opinion. And if it might help convince just one other person of voting correctly the next election, it would also provide additional reason for doing it..

I say:
This almost sounds like the "laissez faire" philosophy, that left alone, business would hum along if the government doesn't interfere. Yeah, that's how Boss Tweed brought down this country. Government has to regulate business, so that the crash of 1929, doesn't occur again, but when you have a dunce in the white house as we've had from 2000-2008, those who voted for Bush voted against their own best interest.

Why do I say this? He invaded Afghanistan, then left the country hanging, because he wanted to oust Saddam Hussein, who had nothing to do with 911! Why did the United States interfere and invade a government that didn't attack us? GREED! They wanted Iraqi OIL! Where's the money that was supposed to pay for that war? I'd love to read THAT answer.

I am very much afraid that your hero, Barack Hussein Obama has a different view of the Constitution.

Did you know that one of his best friends in Chicago, Mr. Ayers, was a "bomber" for the weathermen in the sixties?

There is no evidence that President Obama ever felt that he should not associate with a person who obviously has no respect for the proper constitutional methods of establishing change.

Did you know that the former Community Organizer in Chicago, President Barack Obama, was working for an Organization based on the principles and writings of Saul Alinsky. If you think Alinsky was a four square backer of the US Constitution, you are very much mistaken.

Did you know that President Barack Hussein Obama sat in Reverend Wright's Church for years and did not know that the Reverend's Principles included the idea-"God D*MN AMERICA?

It is apparent that you do not know these things or, else, you are indifferent to their meanings. I am very much afraid that most of America does not agree with you since over half of the country agrees that President Obama is not doing a good job( See latest Gallup Poll)

If she doesn't know it yet, she certainly has no excuse because I have told her most of that stuff, plus more. I also explained that Obama's religious and political mentor the Reverend Wright ranted in his church for numerous years, his church openly claiming its foundational beliefs were based upon something called Black Liberation Theology, which is well known as a pseudo-political agenda that has Marxist principles as part of its belief system.

None of this stuff phases teeny, nor does it phase most liberals here, as they pass all of this off as harmless and meaningless, with the likes of some making jokes about Obama believing in the Marx brother, Groucho and Harpo. It has become increasingly obvious to me that people that make such jokes about and take lightly a political idealogy that has been responsible for the suffering and deaths of hundreds of millions of people in history, that such people are not serious thinkers, nor are they very committed to freedom or liberty, and it is even possible if not likely that they themselves also are either intentionally or unknowingly furthering the overthrow of the America that we know, to turn it into some kind of ultra socialist or Marxist country.

This is serious business, folks, and if you are unaware of the idealogy that Obama has been associated with, you need to listen up, wise up, and stand up for what is right and decent and honorable. The next election is one important place where the rubber is meeting the road for our country, and we hope the country has enough moral backbone to stand up and be counted for turning the tide on this bunch that are currently in office.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes, half of the country:

Obama last week fell below 50% approval in Gallup Daily tracking for the first time in his presidency, both in daily three-day rolling averages and in Gallup Daily tracking results aggregated weekly.

"The only subgroup showing a greater change than whites is Republicans, down 24 points since Obama's first full week in office."In his first full week in office (Jan. 26-Feb. 1), an average of 66% of Americans approved of the job Obama was doing, including 61% of non-Hispanic whites and 80% of nonwhites. In the most recent week, spanning Nov. 16-22 interviewing, his approval rating averaged 49% overall, 39% among whites, and 73% among nonwhites. Thus, since the beginning of his presidency, his support has dropped 22 points among whites, compared with a 7-point loss among nonwhites.

teeny, you can't see nothin in Chicago where Obama did his work, except slumlord apartments run by his friends that got government money voted by him and other Democrats, and I doubt there are any oil wells in Chicago, so I would wager Palin knows far more about foreign policy or energy, plus many other issues as well.

as for the birther/muslim idiots, well they're idiots

as for unqualified, who gives a ****, who is qualified for the job, no one that's why they have advisors

the republicans hate him because he's a democrat

just like the democrats are probably gonna hate the conservative president in 2012

djjd62, I cannot speak for everyone, but honestly I can say I do not hate Obama, nor do I think I hate anyone, and it constantly rubs me the wrong way to read stuff all the time about hatred. I do disagree with Obama and think he is totally unqualified for the job. Perhaps liberals feel the same way about the opposition, actually I could hope that, but seriously it does seem to me that many liberals actually do hate conservatives, because it gets downright vicious much of the time.

I think the term "hate" is being redefined, at least that is the feeling I get about it, for example there are liberal groups that apparently believe you hate them if you don't agree with them or place your stamp of approval upon their chosen lifestyle or behavior, one example would be some gay groups. Something in their mindset cannot distinguish between a difference of opinion and hatred. It seems weird to me, as my family grew up discussing, agreeing, and disagreeing about things, but never was there any hatred, it was all done as part of being open and honest, and standing up for what you think and believe.

You don't think you're vicious towards Obama? Constantly? You insult him on every level possible, on a daily basis, here on A2K. Everything from calling him a Nazi, to a Marxist, to corrupt, to an America-hater, to an unqualified manchurian candidate. Geez. What would you say about the guy if you hated him, that would be different then your current behavior?

@Cycloptichorn,
I merely speak the truth, they are not insults, but accurate descriptions. Obama has a legacy that can be described and talked about, it should be common knowledge and something that he should be able to justify and defend. But he is not an open book, the man is cryptic, and that is why he is not to be trusted. That is not an insult, that is an honest opinion based upon real facts. I do not hate the man, but I do resent the fact that the man can have friends that are former terrorists and Marxists, and nobody thinks it is fair to point that out. The record is not made up, the man created his own track record, but it is his supporters that again want to interpret it as hatred, which is total and absolute crap, cyclops, and I think you know it.

If I robbed a bank and you said I was a bankrobber, that is not hatred, that is simply pointing out a fact. That is all I am doing with Obama, but you choose to pass it off as something else. That is your problem, not mine. And I don't know whether your problem is possibly one of dishonesty yourself because maybe you have a similar mindset as Obama, or you really do just look at Obama through rose colored glasses. Which is it, honestly, cyclops?
