These guys look at people like Dashle, and ignore the $20 billion bonus given to the high rollers at the bank - using taxpayer monies.

I think competence overrides taxes. However, in the case of Geithner, I am not sure there is a lot of competence.

Okie, of course, the vicious bankers and money managers( they only got where they are because of political clout or nepotism, I am sure--they have no expertise or brains) must be punished. I will go along with President Obama if he will also cut the bonuses of the knuckle-dragging morons who make millions stuffing a basket ball through a hoop or the Hollywood sluts like have no talent except bisexualism.

People like Cicerone Imposter do not have the slightest idea of the talent it takes to make it big on Wall Street. Cicerone Imposter might say that they do't deserve to get millions because their enterprises failed. Well, there are a lot of lumbering 300 pound imbeciles who work for teams who have lost game after game. They do not get a cut!!!

President Obama is, I am sure, biased in favor of Athletes. I am sure he would never push for a cut for anyone in sports, especially if he was from the "hood"!!!

Undoubtedly, that is correct.

I see Daschle is "embarrassed." How nice that is, isn't he such a nice guy, and I am sure too valuable to pass up for the job. He is probably the only guy around that can do the job that Obama wants him to do. Put Daschle to work, but throw the money managers in jail.

okie, Daschle uses a tax accountant to prepare his tax return. Most on the hill believes he made an "honest" mistake. What info do you have that he purposely misfiled his taxes?

Also, to serve his country, he's willing to fore go earnings at the tune of about one million every year in consulting fees.

I can't be 100% sure, but I just think you are a bit gullible that these guys in Washington are that dumb. I happen to think that people in public service, politicians, supposedly smart people, are very likely aware that political favors such as what Daschle received are taxable. We are not talking about a guy loaning him a car and driver for a Sunday spin, ci. Now, lets say it was innocent, I think it shows at the very least he is too dumb to serve as an appointee. I choose to hold them accountable, and if it was Bush doing this, you would not be defending these guys at all. You are showing yourself to be so partisan that you are blind to your own naivity.

As Obama continues to back this stuff, his political capital continues to erode, which I think is good and deserved. He never earned the capital in the first place, he is a greenhorn political organizer of dubious credentials with no experience, that the media trumped up as the great Messiah, all total baloney.

You have no evidence that he didn't conveniently ignore the need to pay taxes, except his word, which I wouldn't depend on.

I probably would not prosecute Daschle, so your point is not applicable. I conclude he is either guilty or too dumb, one of the other, either of which would disqualify him for appointment. And the appearance of impropriety is enough to disqualify him. We don't need public officials with these kinds of black clouds of questionable behavior, which by the way do not require guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In regard to his taxes, make him pay taxes and penalties, but send him back to Dakota to get a real job. This is not a case requiring a jury, ci, where did you take civics?

By the way, the longer the greenhorn, inept, and incompetent Obama does this, tries to appoint duds and tax evaders, and tries to pass a stupid stimulus bill, the faster his approval ratings drop like a rock.

Again, when did anyone ever get the idea Obama was qualified to be president? All of this is an embarrassment. Is this the change that voters voted for? I have a tough time believing that.
