@okie,
What's wrong with wanting to change the world?

There's a lot that can be done better.

Lots wrong. Now I hear about some kind of National Security Force that is every bit as powerful as the military?

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Red Flags. This man is dangerous. Some of the stuff he says is bizarre to weird. Oh yeah, a "righteous wind at his back." What a self proclaimed and absorbed individual!

Hey oe and Walter, what name would you suggest for Obama's paramilitary organization or national security force made up of his admirers? Would "brown shirts" work"

Anybody who starts ranting about "changing the world", in his bathroom mirror, let alone in public places, is self-evidently off his rocker.

@Cycloptichorn,
We might, Cyclo, be trying to lose without anyone noticing. Stick these Hot-potatoes in the lap of the Dems for a few years. If the pips are going to squeak who better to squeeze than their own kind. And it's hard to forgive is having your pips squeaking.

@spendius,
And it was strange that the Dems had so much more money. Our cod-socialist party is permanently broke. Our fat-cats can stump it up when necessary.

A pity she didn't get to see tomorrow, no matter how tomorrow turns out.

@Cycloptichorn,
It is really sad she died so close to Election Day. Wonder how he is going to carry it out now without looking careless or too sentimental? Think it will be awkward if he wins to be celebrating?

@revel,
Nah, I don't think it will be awkward. She would have wanted him to celebrate, I'm sure, don't you think?

My guess is the two of them hashed it out last week..

Sad

@spendius,
"Anybody who starts ranting about "changing the world", in his bathroom mirror, let alone in public places, is self-evidently off his rocker." If people bought that blacks would not have the right to vote. Women either. Social Security would not exist. Medicair either. There would be no Constitution or Bill of Rights. There would be no hope of restoring habeas corpus. There'd be no wheel. Man would not ever have walked on the moon. Etc, etc, by a million other examples. Hell we got the WWW and a2k. The WWW changed the world big time.

It is sad about Obama's grandmother. The agony and the esctasy. He was wonderful for taking time off to visit and say goodbye. Moments he'll cherish.

Indeed, it may be argued that the world only ever got changed by such individuals. Invariably, those resistant to change have said they were crazy, or worse.

Nah! Do you know how many mosquitoes there are out there. Or grubs in general. Winged or otherwise. A tectonic plate could shift the US into that trench in the far east. What would you do then bf?

How about some debris from the Crab nebula coming in at Mach 6,000. As big as Uranus.
