Show me somebody who doesn't like being held to the same standard as s/he wants to hold anyone else to and I'll go out and say a prayer for them. Or, as we say in England "I'll show my arse int Co-op window."
I thought it quite witty. A prank maybe so nobody could ever prove which side put it out.
Looking at it as an ideal neutral, someone who has balanced fault for fault and come out level, I think it would lean me to voting McCain. It has a few levels. If we are getting stupider, as all the education experts claim, (to get more funds), a smart, popular guy would get us going faster--surely? What we need is the stupidest guy who doesn't know what he's doing. At least we can have an 8 year rest to get our bearings.
Like Ike. He was a GOPer wasn't he. Gerald Ford. But for a heartbeat James Danforth "Dan" Quayle. Etc.
What about when Mr Reagan fired all the air traffic controllers eh? Real politics that. A smart person who sought to be popular would have opened negotiations and finished up conceding.
