I just looked up ocelot on wiki and I see they are on the red list, but 'least concerned' on it. Seem to be south american, up through central american to Texas.
And if bengal kittens are misunderstood and end up in rescue.. I pick the Bengal.

Interesting. I wonder if that's an adolescent kitten, exploring the world teeth-first.
When my mom's cat was young he used to come up to the sink when we did the dishes. As the water from the tap ran down our fingers, he would reach for them and pull them towards him. First he'd lick them; then he'd bite them. Someone suggested he was mistaking them for his mother's teat.
I try to get a sense of how cats perceive the world. All I know is it's a very different reality from ours.
