Walking home from work last week and I spied this pair of New Yorkers doing some people watching.

Alright, if I keep opening this thread without introducing the girls, they might seriously start planning a takeover. The old girl is Pink "Pinky" Floyd; aka bubbu:


Pink turned 16 a couple of weeks ago. I have had her all of my adult life and she is a sort of living reminder to me of many memories through those years.

Now Mrs45 grew up with many dogs and had a bad experience with a kitty when she was very young. By the time we were living together though, she realized that Pink was not a mortal enemy. She had however realized that Pink was "my" cat. So we got another cat...
This is Sophie:


Sophie was a perfect addition. She is playful, affectionate, and quite a ham. Note that the last pic appears to be an action shot of Sophie rolling over. In fact she had only at that moment slightly turned to her right.

Hilda has been transformed into a beautiful princess!

If only every unwanted & discarded cat could receive the same treatment.

Cat vs Woodpecker

I have two questions:
How do woodpeckers hold onto glass?
Does anyone else have a cat that 'boxes' glass? One of hours does it all the time - even though there is no woodpecker there?
