What do you want to bet on, Nimh?

I did not say Lamont would win the general election, only that if Lamont wins the primary, the final tally will be much different from 51% Lieberman, 27% Lamont and 9% Schlessinger.

Phrase the bet, and if I like it, I'll bet. Very Happy

Lawrence O'Donnel says that Lieberman winning a three-way race is no longer a given. When Lamont announced, very few, except the truly politically astute like myself, gave him a chance in the primary.

BTW any incumbent who polls under 50% in a primary is in BIG trouble.

Gonna think about that, KW. I dont think it'll be that much different.

Meanwhile, bad news for Lamont - Lieberman has just been made a present of a bunch of Schlesinger voters, I'm sure.

Quote:
Conn. Republican sued over gambling debts

The only Republican running for Joe Lieberman's Senate seat paid $28,000 in the early 1990s to settle lawsuits over his gambling debts, according to a published report.

Alan Schlesinger, who has described himself as a recreational blackjack player, acknowledged earlier this month that he had used a fake name years ago to gamble at a casino.

"I did absolutely nothing wrong," Schlesinger told The Hartford Courant, which reported the lawsuits in its Friday editions. "I'm not getting out of this race because of the fact I had a couple of civil lawsuits filed against me 15 years ago."

Is this thread suffering a lack of interest? I've been out of pocket for a while, but checked the latest polls and the following is about the best I could find. If there is later info, I would be interested.

The crowd moved to another thread on the same topic:

Why the Left Is Furious at Lieberman; Iraq is only a part

53 pages between July 18 and September 13, when the last post was made... there's been no lack of interest! Razz
