What's the exact meaning of "too good to be true" ?
1) It's unlikely be that good or
2) It's fantastic / excellent if that's true.
1. Roughly speaking, it means: "Nothing in this world is as good as that, so if they're saying that, it can't be true".
Had any e-mail from Nigeria lately?
Or from anyone who wants to give you thousands of dollars just to help them out?
Too good to be true.
