One of the lines in a story I am writing requires me to say "Nocked an arrow", but I am not sure if that is spelled right, and word dosn't give me a good selection of words to choose. If you have the correct spelling for 'Nocking an arrow', or you have a different way to say it, then post here please.

The groove at either end of a bow for holding the bowstring.

The notch in the end of an arrow that fits on the bowstring.

tr.v. nocked, nockĀ·ing, nocks

To put a nock in (a bow or arrow).

To fit (an arrow) to a bowstring.

May I suggest m-w.com -- it's not the best dictionary in the world, but it's online, free, and easy to use. It's in my favorites for those times when I'm not quite sure on spelling...
