how could health emergencies affect others in the vicinity??

This sounds like a school question. Think about it. What would be a health emergency? An epidemic of a disease? A toxic gas that has gotten into thr air conditioning system of a large office building? An AIDS patient who is having unsafe sex with many partners?
Take any scenario like the above that I mentioned. How would it affect the life, health or safety of the people around them? How would it affect the medical providers in the area? How would it affect the availability of the current stores of medication that needed to be used in the emergency?
If you just think about it, the answers are not that difficult to find!
