It should also be taken into account which country can most afford to travel abroad. It stands to reason that a country with wealth, will have more people leaving to go visit other countries, and fewer people from other less prosperous countries, going to visit those with more wealth.

Yes, that is partially correct, PS. Have money, will travel, and the poorer
nations apply for political asylum.

(joking of course).

I know you were joking, but really, this does directly affect the order from top to bottom.

Immigration is an issue apart from tourism.

However, CJ, if you could locate the stats on which country has the highest immigration, this would be interesting, and valid to the thread. Smile

It's quite beautiful and less touristy there, Steve.
Perry's parents were Italian immigrants, so, who knows.....

Even without statistics, I'd say the United States has the highest
immigration. The US is essentially a nation of immigrants.

gustav, I said without looking...

No the Indians are still here, I saw them a couple of weeks

and Americans?

This is one of the most reasonable and basically sound statements I have read on a2k for a long time. Certainly on this thread.

Real Madrid 0
Arsenal 1

Okay, Francis, I believe you: Steve is a decent guy.

ehBeth, that's what my post on page 1 said: Canada is
a close second, after Australia.

Yup, cj, that was where I got my clue about the study source

When I clicked on that TimesofIndia link, I started getting whacks of pop-ups for Bollywood thisandthat, so I thought I'd find a link to the original source - in case anyone else wants to look at the info, without the potential pop-ups. <and of course, to reinforce the wonderful blandness of Canada  >
