I've always been meaning to at least learn a bit of arabic...I have a book on it, and I've gone through it. I remember some of the letters (alif, baa, taa, thaa, etc.). The only thing I don't like is how vowels aren't written, only by using little marks, which doesn't bother me so much, but what does is the fact that a website in Arabic, or TV, will not write those marks so if you don't know the word, it's pretty hard. I should try learning some this summer...

Prophet Lover, I have two requests, one more specific, the other more general:
first, could you tell me how this short song would translate into Arabic?
Quote:
IN HIS TIME.

He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Lord please show me every day - as you're teaching me your ways -
that you'll do just what you say (in your time).
In your time - You make all things beautiful in your time.
Lord my life to you I bring.
may each song I have to sing be to you a lovely thing - in your time.

second,
I'll be back from time to time to ask particular questions to be sure I am progressing in learning to use Arabic - I am learning some basics right now, and comparing things with aspects in other Semitic languages.

thank you very much.
