Hi everybody :-D
I am going to be applying for another job in April and I have a little problem. I'm hoping to get into the company my son is working for and like most companies, they want 3 personal references that are not related, so my problem is that I don't know anyone here in my area well enough to trust as references.
I can't seem to come up with any solutions, so I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas on what I could do.

How's everyone doing? :-D

Write up your reference and email it to me. I'll type it up and send it where ever you want.

You are so sweet, Roger, but I'm not sure they would accept a written reference.
I've never given a written reference to a company, so I'm in the dark on that one.

If they don't need written, it's easy. Just put my name, address, etc on the form. If they call, I'll think of something. TRUST ME!

Really, it's usually just a box they check to see if it's filled in. Do it.

To Whom it may concern:

It gives me great pleasure to offer my recommendation of Ms. Montana. For the past several years myself and several others have engaged in an internet forum involving serious discussions on a variety of matters and Ms. Montana's insights have always been insightful and beneficial to the entire group. Her caring attitude, her love of life, her interest in making the best of any situtation can, I assure you, be applied to her work ethic. She would be an asset to any business or enterprise which had the good fortune to hire her.

Very truly yours,

You're awesome! I do know that they call the references because they did with my son, so are you sure you're ok with them calling you?

Joe
You made me blush with all the wonderful things you said about little old me. I am so flattered that I'm lost for words.

You guys are truly special, you know that ;-)

Montana--

If you want my address and phone number, just pm.

I know you're a good, steady worker--with a certain upbeat attitude for the workplace.

This is amazing! I never even thought about you guys as references and I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am.
I am so touched that I'm in tears.
You are an amazing group of people who have taught me so much over the years and just when I thought I couldn't get any luckier to have such good friends here on A2K, you manage to make me even more grateful.

I'm all choked up :-D
