I have got a lovely cup. On it are written some words I can't read. e.g. bester papa, which I guess means "best papa". Does anyone know what language it is. Can you tell me the meaning of the subject sentence? Thanks.

It is German. I don't know German, but I think it means "the more loved papa in the world" more or less... I'm not completely sure about "liebste" but "in der welt" means in the world.

"Der liebste Papa auf der Welt" is German, and it means "the dearest daddy in the world".
