I saw BOC back in the 70's - they were great. Got my hubcaps stolen at the show too.
But has anyone seen Soft White Underbelly? Know who they are?
Seeing recent pics of Lemmy....I wonder if hes changed and/or washed his clothes since way back when..certainly is the same guy..no confusion there.
oh k..you would???
going to check ticket prices!!!!!!
Sug..hi to the bro, you'll be missed.

And that Jane's Addiction? When are they around? Before June 8th, by any chance?
I am still wondering why there isn't a metal band CALLED Umlaut...
Ozzie says this is his last Ozzfest, so all you metal heads get your tickets....
Dig the umlauts!
How much is the Motorhead show (I think you covered this, but please bear with me)?
cavfancier wrote:I am still wondering why there isn't a metal band CALLED Umlaut...
That's brilliant, cavfancier! If the umlaut didn't exist, some metal band would've created it...Not to mention the Gothic fonts they use for their logos. What's up with the Wagnerian overtones, anyhow? Perhaps it's best not to go there...
Jes - it's $25, general admission.
Cass - Pearl Jam will always have my respect for dissing the managers and playing shows at reasonable prices.
All the rest of you - you're cracking me up! Big Dice, I have seen Motorhead before, I know they're loud and I will be bringing my earplugs.
Dag - I'll try and look up the JA's thing.
hum...ear plugs.....Got an extra set for the already hearing impared?
Yeah, Pearl Jam...lovely fellas.
Dag--so sorry----

cjhsa I saw BOC at Randolph Macon Womans College when their first album was JUST released in a room hard pressed to hold 150 people. They opened AND closed the show with a cover of Born To Be Wild because of their shortage of material. The closing version contained a drum solo. After the show we got stoned with them (my dope) and then I walked home. I lived across the street from the school. good times.
I've noticed that too BP. No matter how rich musicians are, they always get their dope for free.
dag..you should go to motorhead
Hmmm.... I might have two sets. I still haven't gotten tix yet. Need a check to clear. If they're still available, I'll be able to get them fri or sat. I have off from 4pm on 5/9.
This is what's going to happen in our little town this june...
Bang Your Head 2003 gonna be some really old bands there, like Jurassic Rock! But still I think you got to see the stuff, just for the fun of it!
Did I mention that I'll get an Access All Areas pass? Vitamin C helps all the time!

yeah, quinn, it's gonna be a lot of fun! Especially seeing Twisted Sister, I've been told that they'll wear the whole stuff from the old days, complete with wigs and make-up!
It will be strange seeing Thin Lizzy again, without Phil Lynott... Thin Lizzy was my first live concert experience, and boy, did they get me hooked!
Hammerfall are from my hometown Gothenburg, and their guitar-tech is a guy from here, who I taught some swedish dirty words before he went on tour with them in january... I think I'll have a coupla drinks with those guys, lol!
The noise, the noise... well, ya know, quinn, since half the audience is ahlf deaf, they'll have to crank up the volume, possibly to 11!
Jeez, you guys are made of sterner stuff than me. Just reading that list of bands is giving me a headache!
I'm afraid I've fallen on the wrong side of The Nuge's rule of thumb: "If it's too loud, you're too old..."
