Lead safety

Bump.

As long as you aren't soldering or doing any grinding with the lead I'd have to guess that it would be reasonably safe (I'm assuming here that your craft wouldn't be used for things like consumption of foods).

There are other tapes available that are silver that don't contain lead though. 3M makes an entire line of metalic tapes.
