these guys too. I know some folks don't like emoticons so I try to use them sparingly, but sometimes they are the best choice.
Do you use a lot of exclamation points on your posts? I find that I do. Often I write something, and I want to show that I am being definite about it, so I use an exclamation point. Just using a period would not convey the same emotional expressiveness that an exclamation point would!
