The big honkin' blue Dutch oven pot is the one that, years ago, I had accidentally cooked plastic in. timber, I miss him, had the best advice, which was to scrape off whatever I could and then heat it on the coals (not an active flame) of the barbecue grill to get rid of the last of it. Then it was my father's idea to put about an inch of bleach in it (once the pot had cooled down) and leave it overnight in order to get the burn marks out of the bottom. Then I washed it well, three times or so to get rid of all of the bleach and the pot was just about good as new and is still being used today and, in fact, will be used this morning.

Now if the history of the blue pot doesn't kill this thread, I'm afraid I'll be forced to take more drastic measures which may involve taking hostages. Oops, I've said too much already.
