Oh, what the heck. Other people have a summer vaction in August. If I can take one day off, I can take two days off. That way, I could make any day work, should you guys decide to go with the weekday dinner. As long as that weekday is after the 15th.
25th might be possible, but given that i am leaving for the Catskills workshop on 28th and then flying out on 30th, I can't promise firmly and make any big plans. It will have to be a last minute thing, I may have to dart out after a bit. I'd feel better if it was a gathering that takes place anyway and doesn't depend centrally on me, for time is a rare commodity these days.
