Yeah. Whispering.
The whole "Pssst" thing.
Don't try to act like you don't know what I'm talking about. As a teacher you know perfectly well that if you have something to say you better be willing to say it in front of the whole class.
Now... would you like to stand and read outloud the note you are hiding under your desk from George?
Oh, okay then.
Enjoy your recess.
(Just wishing I was young enough to once again be able to just jump in a car and chuck all responsibility for a weekend trip to Boston.)
Heh, he was just telling me I had nachos in my teeth.
I wish you could come up!
I didn't realize nachos were served today.
I figured he was asking for some of the tator tots from your pocket.
Daughter graduaates this coming Friday, so it would be a short trip. Maybe the next one. I'd love to be there!
Well, I'm off to NY tomorrow and then on Wednesday: Boston, here I come!
W00p!
Next time, squinstress, next time ...
Nachos? Nachos rule!
Help this redneck out. The hotel I am staying at is some 15 minutes from the airport and offers a "free" shuttle for flights and T-service. What is the appropriate tip to the driver for this "free" and scheduled service?

I generally hand him/her a couple of bucks.
If this place is north of Boston (by the way, East Boston is north of Boston),
I could swing by and pick you up and we could take the T in together.
I am staying at the Wyndham Boston/Chelsea which appears to be NW of Logan and Chelsea. It is, I hear, indeed, graduation weekend at Harvard. Not much available now at any price and/or for less than 3 nights. I was lucky to get something. I would have preferred to be nearer to Harvard Square, but I have no problem with navigating the public transport system. I am a little concerned about finding my way "home" after the get-together Wed night, but I will manage.
I am your ride back. That's non-negotiable. I know exactly where the hotel
is. I grew up in East Boston, which is just across the creek.
The offer of a ride in still stands.
I won't force myself on you, but think about it.
Speaking of the airport and north of town - after I dropped D off at the airport, I ended up on rte 1 and then thought I'd take 60W to medford and get home from there. I ended driving all over the Fells area - Lynn, Wakefield, Stoneham, Melrose, etc until I finally found my way to rte 16 in medford (or melrose?).

Oustanding! I'll meet you in the lobby at 5:30.
Look for a guy carrying a small blue gym bag with
"STONEHAM SOCCER CLUB" in white.
i'll send a lifesized photo cutout of myself so that i can be there at least partially.

And in that blue gym bag....IS A HUMAN HEAD!!!!
16 goes through Medford, Littlek...don't think it's Melrose. The Fellsway goes to Melrose I believe. Nice little tour you had there. Leaving the airport can be confusing.
Cool.
A bit of a story coming to johnboy before he goes to bed.
Some of my employees heard about this trip, and then that I had decided against it. Some didn't hear that it was back on again.
Allen, when he found out today that it was back on, said "Don't wear your boots and wash your shoes." That made no sense to me, but sometimes very little of what my employees say makes much sense to me.
It turns out that he flew home to MI a month ago for his grandmother's funeral. When he went through airport security, all of the alarms went off and he was pulled aside and subjected to some searching and questioning.
After 20 minutes or so they asked about his boots. Did he wear those while hiking, or doing yard work, or gardening? Yes.
The red clay of Virginia is red because it has a high concentration of iron. The residue on his boots set off the alarm. They let him go.

Slappy - Than that's the route I took. It was lovely. Somehow, when leaving terminal E, the signs don't happen to mention rte 90, just 1&93N and 1&60W. Or 1A. Whatever. The airport is still in progress apparently. S'ok, I didn't have to pay the exit toll.
RJB - great story - good to know.
