A study of 31 members of a family found a mutation on Chronosome(sp?) 3 that may be linked to autism.
Care to provide a link to this study about the chromosome mutation? If no link is available, then how about where the study was conducted and by whom.
Thank you.
Interestingly a recent study suggests Autism may be genetic in that parent/grandparents were `systemizers eg engineers, mathemeticans etc
Many autistic people are `systemizers'.
It is suggested that the tendacy for `systemizers' to marry each other may be increasing the incidence of autism.
I understand that the study was done by University of Utah researchers who studied individuals of a Norrthern European family,in a way confirming suspications of Finnish researchers that Chrosomone 3 may harbour a gene causing autism.
