An old cowboy wandered in to a wealthy church in the most exclusive part of town where everyone was dressed and accessorized to the nines wearing old boots, jeans and cowboy hat. No one spoke to him or sat near him.
On the way out the minister said to him "I want you to talk to God before you return here and ask Him what He thinks would be proper attire for worship". The cowboy assured him he would.
The next week the cowboy showed up with the same outfit on and the minister asked him if he had not spoken to God about this matter.
The cowboy replied, "I sure did and God told me He had no idea what I should wear because He'd never been to this church".
Wouldn't this be more suited to the humour forum? Just a thought.
Why? I think it's a great message.
Sort of makes you wonder why the cowboy came back. Might be even more funny if the preacher had met the fellow at the grocery store.
