sakhi,

I promise you. I did not mean that in any way whatsoever. I am sorry if you took it that way.

Momma - this is in no way meant to be an attack, but deep in your heart you must think atheists are missing out big time, that they just need to open their (spiritual) eyes and they will see what you can see? That if they just opened their hearts to god...

I worry about you because you wear your compassion on your sleeve - how are you going to enjoy heaven when you know I'm burning in hell for eternity?

Christians have an answer for everything. Even if they have to lie to themselves and everybody else too. It's part of their denial.

You guys already know this.

I think the answer is that you have no memory in heavan of who you left behind. God spares from the guilt.

Who can know or even judge where you will end up spending eternity?

I'm not even sure what I am having for dinner. I do not even know if I will be able to eat dinner. Christians don't have an answer for everything.......

Jesus is the answer.

If anybody gets left behind. It is their choice... not anybody else. And, of course, this has nothing to do with the topic.

What about lost tribes in the Amazon 1500 years ago? - how do they find out about god? Mormons take those bikes to some far out places, but....

hingehead,

If a person never hears about God at all such as if they are in a place where they never have an opportunity to hear about God, He is not going to hold that against them. They would much be like children are before they get to the age of understanding.

It must be very disconcerting for them. No doubt there's a full orientation program in O-Week in heaven.

Will you feel bad about me burning in hell when you're up there? And what happens to your beautiful cats? (Cor, I'm starting to feel like Bart Simpson, 'If they cut my leg off will it be waiting for me in heaven?')

hingehead,

I'm not sure I understand that first statement. If someone never hears of God He isn't going to punish them for that.

Will I feel bad about you burning in hell? I have no idea if you will be in hell or not. I do believe that I am going to heaven, yes. I don't want to think of anyone being in hell, hingehead, no one. But, I have to look after my own salvation. I cannot be responsible for anyone else's. Our final destination is up to us individually. To be very honest with you, I don't think about other people being in hell. One person being in hell is too much for me to bear thinking about. We are each individually responsible for our choices.

Never the less, I think it's fair to say at least one person in hell, and, with you being the person I think you are, how are you going to enjoy knowing that some people are suffering eternal damnation. You might not like thinking about it but you're too compassionate to be able to block it out.

I think it's poor planning on God's part.

Oh, yeah, the first statement was just an observation. Imagine you've never heard of capital G. The local wise man tells you some animals and trees have 'spirits' but that's as spiritual as you get.

Then you die and wake up in 'heaven' - you would need some serious orientation, wouldn't you?

THE LORD HAS BROUGHT OVER YOU A DEEP SLEEP: HE HAS SEALED YOUR EYES (THE PROPHETS); HE HAS COVERED YOUR HEADS (THE SEERS). FOR YOU THIS WHOLE VISION IS NOTHING BUT WORDS SEALED IN A SCROLL (or words of a book that is sealed). AND IF YOU GIVE THE SCROLL TO SOMEONE WHO CAN READ, AND SAY TO HIM, "READ THIS, PLEASE," HE WILL ANSWER, "I CAN'T; IT IS SEALED." OR IF YOU GIVE THE SCROLL TO SOMEONE WHO CANNOT READ, AND SAY, "READ THIS, PLEASE," HE WILL ANSWER, "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ." THE LORD SAYS: "THESE PEOPLE COME NEAR TO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH AND HONOR ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEARTS ARE FAR FROM ME. THEIR WORSHIP OF ME IS MADE UP ONLY OF RULES TAUGHT BY MEN-Isa 29:10-13 NIV.

Thank God we have eyes to see at all.....Thank God, Thank God, Thank God for all good things...... for we have done nothing to deserve.....any good thing at all.

Some might say "but I have done good things"!

and God has the authority to require us to do so without any reward.

I have enjoyed many good things in life even when I was not doing good.

Thank God. He is merciful.

Praise be to him forever. He is good. He is worthy. He deserves all rewards. May the glory be to God forever in Jesus name.

May God's will be done.....

My will.....I would be afraid of screwing thing's up. I would not pretend to know better than God. In fact, I know I don't. God is not a name.

Love God....(unlike us) he actually deserves it. Look around at all he has given you and ask what have you done apart from him to deserve..... Everything you have done...you were only able to do because God gave you the tools and abilities and the means to do so.

What are we doing with the things we have been given (gifts)?

You can't even suppose God is real and remain proud and boastful.

Just the thought of allmighty God makes me tremble.

I don't know what else to say. It's beyond words.
