bore fruit winter and summer: Does they execute prinsoners only winter and summer?

had infinite sport with: What does the author mean?

He gave such satisfaction: Does it mean "he was satisfied with his work" ?

was through with: finish?

fellow-artists: Is this word's original meaning an artist? Or a prisoner(so here it is a parable)?

benevolent secret society: What is a benevolent secret society by its original meaning?

wore his hair short: Does this mean his hair is always short?

he was so regular: Does this mean he was a regular clerk in the government literally?

no, it's a figure of speech meaning all through the year.

Quote:
had infinite sport with: What does the author mean?

it means he greatly enjoyed, or constantly practiced.

Quote:
He gave such satisfaction: Does it mean "he was satisfied with his work" ?

no, it means he did his work so well, his employers were always satisfied.

Quote:
was through with: finish?

yes

Quote:
fellow-artists: Is this word's original meaning an artist? Or a prisoner(so here it is a parable)?

it means prisoner, but it's not a parable. he's using artist sarcastically to mean someone who is skillful with his hands.

Quote:
benevolent secret society: What is a benevolent secret society by its original meaning?

he might be referring to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, or similar respectable organizations like the Freemasons.

Quote:
wore his hair short: Does this mean his hair is always short?

no, it means his hair was always cut before it became long.

Quote:
he was so regular: Does this mean he was a regular clerk in the government literally?

no. i'm not sure exactly what this means, but i think it means he was very dependable.

no, it's a figure of speech meaning all through the year.

Does "April and Autumn", "April and Winter", .... mean the same thing?

he might be referring to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, or similar respectable organizations like the Freemasons.

Still don't know why.

no. i'm not sure exactly what this means, but i think it means he was very dependable.

Since you are not sure, I'm not sure, either. Anyway thank you.

You really teach me a lot.
Other explanations?
