Hi, I am a guy and have had my ears pierced for about a year, and have recently noticed that the position of my right hole is not quite right, whats the best way to go about correcting the problem? Cheers
How far away is the "perfect" position?
If it's far enough away (not sure what "far enough" would be though -- 1-2 mm, maybe), you could probably just get it re-pierced, and let the original one close up.
Yeah I think letting the old one heal and getting a new pierced might be the best way. Unless you're down with having one of those big holes that you can put a coin-sized earrings in, which will probably take time. If it's really far, you could get a new piercing and just have two on one lobe? Totally up to your style, dude.
I had my ears pierced when I was 17, done at a jewelry store with one of those guns.
Then, a year later, A girlfriend did once of those "needle sterilized on the stove gas flame-here sit in this chair. one more in each lobe.
Those amateur ones have always been straight and have never even thought about closing up in over 25 years. I've gone 4 or 5 years at a stretch without thinking of earrings, and then I'll pop one in and it goes in like butter.
The ones I got by a "professional" have always had a kink in them, and close up all the time.
Thanks
The perfect position would be 1-2 mm from where it is, i was thinking i could re-pierce, and allow the old one to heal while hidden by an earring. The other thing i thought about was you know the larger gauge needles that piercers use, if that was used it might 'chop' out the original hole with it - only problem is i don't know if the ear would heal well, as i want the holes to be discreet.
Thanks for all your advice though.
