Can someone translate the following for me? Its a quote by Seneca:
"Life is long, if you know how to use it."
I believe its part of the title of an essay he wrote: "On the shortness of life: life is long if you know how to use it."
I'd also like to know "Life is long, if you know how to live it."
Thanks!
...vita, si uti scias, longa est.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
AD POLYBIUM, DE BREVITATE VITAE
---------------------------
Substitute vitere (to live) for uti (to use).
Vita, si vivere scias, longa est.
Thanks much!
Thanks for the translation! I appreciate the attention to detail, to. The quote from his essay is exactly "life, if you know how to use it, is long." Thanks for the translation and correction!
