i had a minor op on my eyelid, which involved making a small incision and putting in 3 or 4 stitches. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it will take until the swelling goes down? It was done on saturday and was swollen shut on sunday am, but now its about half open!
Also, im having the stitches out a week tomo, and was just wondering:
a) will it hurt?
b) will it make the swelling better or worse?
thanx

I've never experienced any pain from stitch removal - maybe a slight tug, but no hurting.
As for the swelling I wouldn't think the stitch removal would affect that; it's just a matter of time. For an idea of how long, ask your surgeon.
my step-mom had the same problem , u should go see the doctor take some medicine and u'll be fine , but it may swell more and it will hurt but it will go away about in a week.
SWELLING ON EYELID
I have had stitches, silver wires and staples removed. No pain from any. One very slightly noticeable sting with one silver wire. Painless.
