Naw, I think the problem is we're all feeling a little run over. We've got Jesus' tread marks all over us. "They" are taking over our political system, Supreme Court, legislative branches, and presidency. They are injecting themselves into our business, public parks and even into our homes via tv, radio and print news.

We have to listen to stupid stuff like tv preachers calling for assisination, how Christ is being taken out of Christmas (- like the fact that stores depend on the season to make most all of their profits hasn't done that already) and Falwell opening a Law School to train Christian judges so as to get us on their more moral path.

So, I don't really think it would matter who started this thread. Some of us are tired of having a religion thrown in our faces as some sort of positive attribute, when it's apparent to many that the distortions necessary to go along with this kind of tripe is decidely NOT Christian.

Why should this thread get any special treatment? Digressions are commonplace; sometimes a topic stays on topic, or wanders some and returns, and sometimes a topic doesn't. Complaining about it ain't likely to do anything but encourage further digression, or wind up killingoff the discussion altogether. At the worst case, such siliness devolves into name-calling and assorted other nastiness, and the topic goes away entirely. If one objects to off-topic posts, why respond to or even acknowledge them? Seems sorta counter-productive, IMO - you wanna stay on topic, stay on topic and interact only with those who do likewise. If nobody on a thread is on topic, that prolly says something too.

Right timber. It's really stupid of me to ask that maybe just one time people could show a little respect since this is what I and others consider pretty important.
I mean gee, can't ask anyone to respect anything right? I mean, dang, that's like asking them to take some responsibility for their own actions and maybe just once not be selfish acting.
I know what it says to me about those that refuse to stay on the topic.
