I also think we should consider olga's idea, and wave some fags for a change.

I caught it, but I saw no point in bringing it up. I assumed it to be a typo and nothing more.

But I do understand, MA. It's obvious who you're praying for. I'm just wondering why, that's all.
Not to worry, though ......

It's way to funny to ignore!

I get this visual... Muscular people are going about waving thin, well-dressed men about...... Their arms are flapping, and they're terribly concerned about their hair.

I've completely stereotyped the gays. I know there are butchy ones... They're not for waving, though.

Paul teaches us to pray for peace among nations for the sake of the gospel. The crucial text relating to prayer and peace is 1 Timothy 2:1-4. "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Our "host", waitingforhim, has a total of 9 posts, and that includes ALL the posts made in this Topic. I don't think we have to worry about him/it/her worrying about anyone derailing the topic. He didn't care about it enough to stick around and moderate it!

Some people are wise enough to see how rediculous their topic once people post their opinions to refute or make fun of it. Some people are stubborn, and never admit they made a mistake.

Now, let us prey for those innocent Iraqis that were killed (some 30,000 of them by best estimates) and tortured by our armed forces.

Cicerone Imposter,

If you will, you can go to this thread I started to PRAY for the Iraqi people. I think they deserve a thread of their own, don't you? It is NEVER A MISTAKE TO PRAY for anyone. I pray for you and others every single day.

God, please comfort the families and loved ones of the troops lost in this war. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Really, the more you guys carry on with this "don't post here" stuff, the more difficult it gets not to.

I'll then pray for your heart to soften

It is quite soft enough, thank you very much...it just doesn't warm to these rather mawkish displays of over heated dramatic prayerola. In fact, it is rather revolted by the display. My brain hasn't gone soft, so I still have critical faculties.

But, to each their own.......pray away.

However, I came back to this odd little corner of madness to explain (in case you misunderstood) that the "stick figure" stuff was just meant as teasing about your avatar, as people use mine to tease me, and had no intent to make any negative comment about you.

Someone else misinterpreted what I meant, and I was very worried that you might have, given the sturm and drang here.

My apologies if you thought that that part was an attack on you.

It was but an attempt to be silly and lighten things up.

So I've been told. I have the neatest collection of thank you post cards from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Actually, from very painful, and fungal, desert experience

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

may I suggest the medicated ones, at least for women soldiers?

(I am less au fait with the cracks and crevices of the male desert adventurer.)
