Oh crap off Husker.

Really, the more you guys carry on with this "don't post here" stuff, the more difficult it gets not to.

That's the reasoning of an eight year old.

LionTamer - that's wonderful of you - care packages are something I can support. Is there a service you send through?

Has it ever occurred to you, MA & co, that invoking God's name in relation to an ill-advised invasion by one country into another is extremely provocative to many people? "God" has nothing to do with it. This war is to do with the arrogance & greed of governments & big business. The "troops" are merely unfortunate pawns in a much bigger game. Personally, I feel very sorry for them & wish they hadn't been sent there in the first place.

Ms. Olga,

Have you noticed that has never occurred to the "faithful" here. Just how hypocritical and perverse they really are??

No bloody clue!! What was it Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do??"

It's a total mystery to me, Anon. If I was a praying person, right now I'd go for peace & for sanity to prevail over the planet. Why would God respond to prayers for the safety of just one side of an extremely regrettable conflict? As if God had anything to do with it! And as for waving the fag of one of the nations (the invading one!) while conveniently over-looking all the victims of the invasion. I just find this stuff very, very strange, indeed .....

But, expensive. Can we get addresses and send our own packages - would that be cheaper?

If you condense it down littlek, and then add the .com, you'll find it.

To tell you the the truth, I just communicate directly with my "buddies" over there now, and they tell me what their needs are.

Dear God,

What's it take to get through to you? Here we all are praying to your magnificence and we don't get jack! We've popped off a few chicken heads, we've prayed, we've lamented, we've defended your holiness in face of the godless heathens, and yet ... our troops die anyway. Is that any way to treat your faithful minions?

Here we follow Christs teachings exactly as he has given them to us, yet our troops die anyway. Could we possibly be doing anything wrong?

Thanks God, you're a peach!

Lord, we don't forget those who are unable to see the prayers that go out to ALL in conflict. Cover them also with your grace that they may have eyes to see and ears to hear.

littlek,

I can give you some addresses of soldiers to send things too if you'd like. Just let me know.

msolga,

Please understand, THIS THREAD IS FOR OUR TROOPS. It doesn't mean we don't pray for others. We are just keeping on topic here.

Pray for our troops. Pray for everyone.

Someone else that is looking for some help is the USO. They provide facilities worldwide for our troops.

Even through the website, a basic package was like $35. I just don't always trust relief orgs to be efficient or trustworthy, so I do it myself.
