Lord, please see to it that our troops have everything they need in this war. Please bring them comfort and encouragement. Please bring them peace. In Jesus' Holy Name. Amen.

Has it ever occurred to you, MA & co, that invoking God's name in relation to an ill-advised invasion by one country into another is extremely provocative to many people? "God" has nothing to do with it. This war is to do with the arrogance & greed of governments & big business. The "troops" are merely unfortunate pawns in a much bigger game. Personally, I feel very sorry for them & wish they hadn't been sent there in the first place.

Dear God ...

Our troops are still dying and you're still jacking around letting it happen. Is this any way to treat your faithful holy Christian soldiers. Knock it the hell off and do your job ... you're suppose to be on our side! Act like it!!

Maybe if we sing "Onward Christian Soldiers"!!

Thanks,

Anon

Lord, we pray that all who are in conflict be covered with your grace and blessing. We know that when manmade wars are engaged in, that there will be those who will be wounded and even killed. This is through the will of man and not your will.

We know that intercession is not always thy will even though it is ours. We pray that a speedy end to the current war comes before even more are put in harm's way.

We pray that you cover all with your grace and this we ask in Jesus name. Amen

Lord, we may not understand everything. Your ways are Higher than our ways. I believe what is important right now is that we have family members and friends that are in the middle of a war.

What is important is that they need our support. Please Lord let all bitterness end and let us support our troops until they can return safely home to their land.

Please help all of us to understand that our troops need our prayers. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

No, you ridiculous little stick figure.

I am actually trying to cool things down a little.

You may wish to take a wee cool shower yer very own self.....you are getting unusually boiloverish.

I confess to being a bit amused by all the back and forths, though.

Ms. Olga,

Have you noticed that has never occurred to the "faithful" here. Just how hypocritical and perverse they really are??

No bloody clue!! What was it Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do??"

Instead of praying for our troops, which doesn't seem to have much effect over whether they actually live or die, I send care packages to them.
They really like beef jerky, and moist towelettes.

This still holds true...Although I've had requests for more feminine friendly products of late.

Our Lord God, please calm the angered feelings in this thread. Please let peace be maintained. Please let your higher purpose be shown. Please Lord, for those that wish to not engage in prayer for our troops, put on them a spirit of understanding and tolerance for those that do.

For those whose feelings are wounded because of this war, Lord, we ask for mercy and comfort for them. Please give us understanding to understand their feelings and not let them feel discounted in any way. We ask this in Jesus' Holy Name. Amen.

I find your behavior disruptive and counter to good will and not good etiquette, if you really wished to make peace you would not post in this topic
