It's just that I have to keep
reminding folk on this thread about the Iraqis! Seeing the US troops are
in Iraq it seems perfectly natural to me to automatically include them in your posts & prayers, yes? Doesn't happen, then you wave this
while praying. The troops (hopefully) can eventually go home, but the Iraqis are stuck with the awful post-invasion mess of their country.
msolga,
Please do not think that I don't care about the Iraqis people. I do. If you want to start a thread to pray for them, I promise you I will be one of the very first to join and post a prayer.
I do not get into the politics of the war, msolga. Whether the war is right or not is not what I concern myself with right now. I support our troops. I am proud of them. I love them. I pray for them daily. But, as I said, I pray for everyone in the world.
All the arguing about the war right now will change nothing. It just upsets most people. Our President is in office until someone else is elected. Those are just the facts.
I hope you understand where I am coming from, msolga. I, in no way, wish to diminish the way you feel about the war or anything else for that matter.
erm ... I do think waving the flag is sort of getting involved in the politics of the war, MA! As I'm not a praying sort of person, I think it'd be nice if
you stated a prayers for the Iraqis thread.
That would be very even-handed!
