blur after close work

I tie fishing flies, and the last two years, I have been getting a blur in my left eye after working closely just 5-10 minutes. My optician thinks it is a strain, and I have been checked by opthalmologist and retina specialist, with nothing remarkable, but lately it is starting sooner and lasting longer. Anybody have anything like this?

herefishy, What you must learn to do is to look away from your work at different distances on a regular basis.

If your opthalmologist and retina specialist didn't find anything wrong with your eyes, it's probably caused by looking at the same distance for too long.

There are magnifying glasses on stands that you can also use when you tie your fishing flies to minimize the strain.
