There is evidence that strains avian flu could be becoming resistant to
Tamiflu.

A Vietnamese doctor reported in the NEW ENGLAND HOURNAL OF MEDICINE that the virus in 4 patients become more aggressive.

It appears that it might not be effective against flu anyway according to a study published in the Lancet.

I actually asked my doc about this when I was in earlier this week, and she confirmed that it is now resistent to Tamiflu, and said if it breaks out "We're all screwed" - those were here exact words!

She actually advised not eating chicken out unless you know where it came from, and to ask at the grocery stoe to make sure what you're eating came from the US - or to buy organic to stay on the safe side since the standards generally mean that only US farmers are providing it anyway.
