10,000th Post

Wow, this is now my 10,000th post. It seems like only yesterday that I made my very first post in the Original Poetry thread and received my first response from Edgarblythe who said he liked my poem and welcomed me to A2K. Edgar and I have disagreed on many things since that day. ;-)

I have posted heavily in the Trivia section which, no doubt, has contributed to my fast tracking to post number 10,000.

I became enamoured with the Political and Religion & Spirituality forums and met Setanta, Frank Apisa, Ticomaya, McGentrix, Cicerone Imposter and many others. Setanta welcomed me by calling my heritage and intelligence into question. We have been like this http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75/Intrepid2/b91b5b4d.gif every since... Laughing I must say that Ticomaya seems to have the best sense of humour :-) .

Momma Angel came along and posts primarily in the Religious forums. We do not agree on everything either, but she has a good heart and defends her religion like a bear defends her cubs. There is Lash to I have disagreed with and then agreed with and then disagreed and then.....
There is Snood who speaks his mind and uses common sense.

It can sometimes be a tough crowd here on A2K, but it is one heck of a community and I am glad that I found it. I expect to be around for another 10,000 posts.

I want to thank those who have welcomed me; those who agree with me; those who disagree with me; those who love me; those who hate me; those who are indifferent to me; those who have learned from me; those who have taught me; those who have made me think; and those who continue to challenge me.

To those who still cling to the words.... I wish you a very Merry Christmas. To everyone else, I wish you Happy Holidays and may the peace of the season fill your hearts and your homes.

I can't even imagine what it must be like to attain that milestone.

I can only shake my head in awe.

Well, hey, I may disagree with most of what you say, but I do like the way you say it.

I say that lamb has only a short time to live.

Well done, Mr 10,001.

I think its name is Lambchop.

There was a young lady from Riga,
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger
They came back from the ride
With the lady inside,
And the smile on the face of the tiger.

The lamb might be safe, but if they're on a diet of grass, that lion is dead meat.
