Need some Turkish help

Hi, I've currently been using a dictionary at langtolang.com. However, this dictionary has the curious feature of giving several translations without explaining the use of any of the words it comes up with. I just need some help with the following words, that's all.

For example, the Turkish for Eye comes up with this:

eye : göz
eye : görme gücü
eye : görüþ
eye : iðne deliði
eye : diþi kopça
eye : delik
eye : göz
eye : bakýþ
eye : göz
eye : nazar
eye : dikkatle bakmak
eye : gözünü dikip bakmak

Why are there so many different options?

And Guardian:

guardian : koruyucu kiþi/yer
guardian : koruyucu
guardian : vasi
guardian : veli

and Knight:

knight : þövalye
knight : asilzade
knight : þövalye ünvanýný kazanan kimse
knight : (satranç) at
knight : (birine) þövalye ünvaný vermek

If somebody could help me with this, I'd be very grateful. I realise, of course, that what I'm asking for is quite a tall order. After all, there's 21 or so entries that I need help with. I suspect I can disregard those with multiple words, right?
