Dok--
To clarify...You consider the ego to be the conscious as well as the unconscious? That's different from my definition.

Echi,
Sort of.
The concious is the visible part of the ego, the subconcious, it's 'inner workings'

echi, I was gonna tell you I wanted a tail, when you said there is nothing that separates us apart from animals, but you said nothing 'special' so...guess that leaves that out.

I do wonder about the spelling of Doktor, maybe it's kinda like changing the 'k' in magic to make it magik, since magik is real, and magic is not.

So...what's the talking of dirty toilet seats?

And they say Christian conversations are pointless.

That wasn't directed to you tho Amigo.

It wasn't all that long ago that we did have tails (our ancestors, that is).
Some people are actually born with tails, still. It's rare, but it happens.

Realy? Interesting.

So, do you think it still possible that we evolve later to our original form, tails and all?

Well, either way, Dok (not to be a fence-sitter), but I can agree with you and kicky on that one. It all depends on whose definition is being used. Anyway the consequence, as I see it, remains the same.
We're only motivated by self-interest, but IMO self-interest extends to all others, as well. I think the unconscious self may have a better sense of our interconnectedness. Do you agree with that?

Do not try to interpret that which is beyond your means.
I understood full well what he was talking about, I am brilliant, after all.

Yes, I knew you got it, I only did it to irritate.

I'm quite good at that sometimes. Very Happy

I doubt it. We evolved past them so they apparently weren't worth much to us. I do not, however, believe that we are finished evolving (as many religious-types seem to think). Evolution doesn't stop.

BTW, other one, what's your take on all this religiosity? Are you religious or spiritual, athiest or agnostic, none of the above? What's your story? Perhaps you're a Satanist, too?

I think that's true in a limited sense. Being good to others increases the likelyhood of others being good to you (specific 'others', not just people in general) so thereby being a textbook definition of a 'good person' is really only acting in ones own best interests.
Also, I think we are biologically programmed for reciprocal altruism (not true altruism, mind you) as it serves as a benificial quality for survivability.

Read the Satanic bible.
If you find yourself smiling and nodding a lot during the read, it might be time to introspect.
But try www.satanism101.com for some basics.

Okay. I'll check it out, for sure. Thanks. But I was kinda just kidding around. Sorry. I mean, you have to know that most people's knees are going to jerk pretty hard when they run across the word "Satanist".

kundalini...

The ones who've experienced it, believe they have attained spiritual assension. From 2 dna strands, to 12 or more.

They say they too are gods.

I was just wondering if anyone's heard of it.
